Iskra Autoelectric Iran (IAI) was established in 1998 in Tehran. The factory is located in Amir Kabir Industrial Zone in the City of Kashan, which is a historical city situated 280 km south of Tehran on the edge of the desert and consists of more than 10000 m² with 6500 m² of covered area.In 2012 Crouse purchased 60% of IAI's shares and got fully involved in management of companie's activities. IAIhas a total of 200 employees in Tehran and Kashan. The company manufactures 2 groups of products: Alternator and Starter. IAI design individual alternator families and versions which has been adapted for operation on passenger cars. Also IAI produce starters designed for starting all types of internal combustion engines of the capacities up to 2.0 liters.
